• Account information: Name, email address, company name, and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Profile photo, job title, and contact details.
• Form data: Safety forms, checklists, and any photos or signatures submitted through the app.
• Location data: GPS coordinates when you clock in/out of work sessions or submit forms (only while the app is in use and with your permission).
• Device information: Device type, operating system, app version and build number, when you last used the app, and push notification tokens.
• Credential data: Certification names, issue dates, expiry dates, and photos of credentials you upload.
• Usage analytics: When you visit our website or open the app, we automatically record basic usage statistics — the pages visited (with secret links such as password-reset and invite links removed), page titles, the referring website and campaign tags, browser, device type, screen size, operating system, app version, language, and approximate location (country, region, and city) estimated from your IP address. These statistics are collected with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. Umami does not use cookies and does not store your IP address, and the Umami data is not shared with third parties or used for advertising. Choosing “Decline” on our cookie banner turns this website analytics off in your browser.

• Understand how our website and app are used (for example, which pages are popular and which app versions are still in use) so we can improve them.

• Within your company: Company owners and sub-owners can view worker profiles, form submissions, work sessions, and credential status.
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party services for hosting, push notifications (Expo/FCM/APNs), and email delivery.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted password storage using bcrypt hashing.
• JWT-based authentication with token rotation.
• Two-factor authentication (2FA) support.
• Regular security audits and updates.

5. Location Data

GOpher Forms collects GPS location data only when you actively start a work session or submit a form. We do not track your location in the background. Location data is used to:

• Verify worker presence at job sites.
• Record GPS coordinates on form submissions for compliance purposes.
• Provide weather data for job site conditions.

You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Form submissions and work session records are retained for your company's compliance needs. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy
